João Fernandinho |
|
Praia Azeda -
The Azeda and Azedinha beaches are amongst the most
beautiful in Brazil. The area recently received the status of APA
(Environmental Protection Area) and all the bars and kiosks have been
removed. The waters are calm and crystal clear.
Praia da Ferradura –
A “Horseshoe
bay” with crystal clear and calm waters all the time. The left corner
has several bars that serve delicious seafood appetizers. There are
several mansions along the beach overlooking the ocean.
Praia de João Fernandinho –
The water is crystal clear, and has
an amazing bluish green colour. The
rocky shores on the right side are good for snorkelling and scuba
diving. Seagulls and White-Bellied Boobies are frequently spotted.

João Fernandes

Brava
|

Tartaruga
|
|
Praia de João Fernandes -
One of the most sought
after beaches in Búzios. There are great kiosks along the beach, and
the waters are always calm, filled with passing schooners.
Praia Brava -
Located in one of the most preserved sites in Búzios.
This beautiful and preserved beach is formed by an open bay facing the
ocean, with blue-green water, mountains and pinkish colored sand. It
is very sought by surfers and is also great to relax and enjoy nature.
The right corner has a path that leads to the Olho de Boi
beach, which is a nudist area.
Praia da Tartaruga –
“Turtle” beach has
calm waters, which generally are the warmest in the region. (It
doesn’t receive the cold currents from Antarctica.) There are several
kiosks and the rocky shores are good for scuba diving and snorkelling.

Geribá

Ferradurinha

Canto
|
|
Praia de Geribá -
Geribá is the place for beautiful sun-tanned people who
hang out in front of the Fishbone Café. This is where you you’ll catch
the buzz on parties that will happen later in town. There are waves
along most of the beach, making it great for surfing.
Ferradurinha -
Surrounded by beautiful mountains,
the beach is in a beautiful bay with calm waters and fine white sand.
Access to the beach is by a path that starts at the left corner of
Geribá Beach.
Praia do Canto –
There are many houses and mansions throughout the whole
beach. The water is usually warm and the wind frequently blows in from
the east.

Armação
|

Ossos
|

Foca
|
|
Praia da Armação -
The beach that runs along “Rua das Pedras” street and
the Bardot Boardwalk. Excellent for taking pictures and enjoying a
nice walk. Sights not to be missed are the bronze statues of Bridget
Bardot, and of the 3 fishermen.
Praia dos Ossos -
As local stories say, this beach received its name due
to whale bones found in the sand. With a tree lined shore and full of
fishing boats, it looks like a postcard.
Praia da Foca -
Narrow and surrounded by rocks with little sand. It’s
near Lagoinha and Forno Beach, but access isn’t very easy. The reward,
though, is almost total privacy.

Forno
|

Olho de Boi
|

Map
|
|
Praia do Forno –
Located in a
small bay with reddish
sand and very clear water. Some of the sports options that stand out
are fishing and diving off the rocky coasts.
Praia Olho de Boi -
Access is not easy for the less
sport-inclined. To get there, you’ll have to hike up and down a hill
from Brava Beach.
The view is of total wilderness. If you like naturalism, this beach is
your ideal spot as it is a nudist area. |
