This is a fantastic full day tour. At Sugar Loaf, we will take the cable car to the top to enjoy an exhilarating  view of the Guanabara Bay, the city of Niteroi, various fortresses, beaches and of course the city of Rio de Janeiro. Next it is off towards the Historical City Centre to visit the magnificant architecture, museums, and churches. (Rio used to be the capital of Brazil until they moved it to the manmade city of Brasilia!)

The Sambadrome is the main attraction of Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro. This is where all the Samba Schools parade (in full costume) in front of all the judges and thousands of enthusiastic fans. At Maracana Soccer Stadium*, you have the choice of entering or not. For those that choose to enter you will get a chance to visit the locker rooms, hall of fame and the soccer pitch. A souvenir program is also included. Lunch** is all u-can eat at a buffet restaurant, where you can see and choose what type of food to enjoy. The menu changes daily, but you can always be guaranteed good food and plenty of it.

After lunch it is off to see the most famous landmark in Brazil, the Statue of Christ (Cristo Redentor). The statue is located in the Tijuca National Park which is the largest Urban Rainforest in the world! The views and statue itself is breathtaking and one that will never be forgotten. Another great photo opportunity is from the Dona Martin Lookout Point, where one has an unobstructed view of the entire city! Next it is off toTijuca Forest where we can walk around and see the waterfalls and see the same type of Rain Forest that the early settlers to Brazil encountered once they landed. And on the way back, we drive through the Barra da Tijuca area, which is the fastest growing neighborhood in Rio, and home to the longest beach at over 14kms. Other beaches that we will pass include Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema, and finally Copacabana.

Pick up and drop off of guests is done at their apartment or hotel.

Pick up starts at 9am.
